What do you need for a title transfer?
In order to enhance your service and ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible, Tom’s Auto Tag and Notary Service has put together this helpful list of information that you will need to bring with you, as well as a link to online forms that you can download and fill in at home.
Title Transfer
- Title
- If out-of-state title, you must have VIN verification.
- Current proof of Pennsylvania insurance
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license or Photo I.D.
- Bill of sale or gift letter
- Odometer reading
- If making a gift, you may fill out an affidavit of gift MV-13ST
Tag Transfer
- Title of vehicle
- Proof of insurance on said vehicle
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license or Photo I.D.
- Registration card from plate being transferred
In-Transit Plate
- Out-of-state driver's license
- Out-of-state proof of insurance
- Title
Address Change
- For a driver's license, you must bring a current driver's license
- For vehicle registration, bring registration card or title
Notary Seals
- Bring valid Pennsylvania driver's license or photo ID or valid passport
Fishing License
- Bring valid driver's license or non-driver photo ID
